Privacy Policy

Who we are
Purple Bean Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery and tasting lab in Cusco, Peru. This site is purplebean.coffee. Questions: WhatsApp +51 913 779 574 or email thebestbeancoffee@gmail.com.
What this site collects
If you browse only, we see the usual server logs (IP, browser, pages). If you place an order or book a workshop, we store the name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and what you booked. Farm inquiries go to WhatsApp. We do not sell this data.
Payments
Card and wallet payments are handled by the processor you pick at checkout (PayPal, Yape, or another processor we show). We store the order, payment status, and the processor’s transaction id. We do not store full card numbers.
Google Gmail and Calendar
The lab mailbox (thebestbeancoffee@gmail.com) is connected so the site can read confirmation mail from GetYourGuide, Airbnb, Viator, and TripAdvisor, block those times on the booking calendar, and copy them onto a private Google Calendar named “Purple Bean bookings.” The Google login is only for that mailbox. It is not used to read guest Gmail accounts. Access is Gmail read-only plus Calendar. We do not send mail as you, and we do not share mailbox contents with third parties except the booking platforms those messages already came from.
The owner phone receives a WhatsApp when someone checks out on this site, when a payment is marked paid, and when a GetYourGuide, Airbnb, Viator, or TripAdvisor booking is read from the lab mailbox. Guests are not added to a marketing list.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 may run on public pages so we can see which cities and pages people use. Staff browsers can turn that off with the internal ignore flag. We do not use analytics on payment-card fields.
How long we keep it
Orders and workshop bookings stay as long as we need them to host the session, account for payment, and keep the calendar honest. You can ask us to correct or delete personal details that are not required for a paid booking we still have to run.
